At the fourth annual Lakers Blogger Night, Lake Show was invited to watch the Los Angeles Lakers play the San Antonio Spurs at Spectrum SportsNet Studios.
Located in El Segundo, CA, senior editor Matthew Peralta, staff writer Justin Flores, and I received a behind-the-scenes look at #LakeShow and Access SportsNet: Lakers pregame show from senior coordinating producer AJ Ponsiglione.
In addition, we received a tour of the new Spectrum News 1 Studios, which is a 24-hour channel focused on Southern California and recently launched on Nov. 16.
Along with hosts Chris ‘Geeter’ McGee and Allie Clifton, insider Mike Bresnahan and analysts James Worthy and Candace Parker joined us for dinner where we discussed the Lakers at the quarter point of the 2018-19 NBA season.

Since Spectrum SportsNet launched for the 2012-13 season, there was a different buzz during dinner as the Lakers are competitive once again with LeBron James and the young core. As McGee and Worthy celebrated every good play, Parker provided a unique perspective as one of the greatest players in WNBA history.
The Lakers may have ultimately lost to the Spurs in San Antonio, but it was another year of spending quality time with Spectrum SportsNet and 11 bloggers.
After five years of rebuilding, the Lakers are looking to get back to their winning ways and there is not a better group of people covering them.
